FrameCut Pro Privacy Policy

Overview

FrameCut Pro is provided by Big Brain Tech. The extension records only after the user explicitly selects a webpage region, window, or display. Video and audio are processed on the user's device and saved locally. The developer does not receive or store recorded screen content or audio.

Information handled locally

The extension may handle the screen or webpage content and audio selected by the user for recording. This content is processed locally to create an MP4 file and is not uploaded to the developer or to an analytics or advertising service.

The extension stores the following information in Chrome's local extension storage:

• Audio and countdown preferences
• The local start time of the 3-day trial
• A randomly generated installation identifier
• The license key, license activation identifier, and time of the last successful license check

License activation and payment

When a user activates or restores a purchase, FrameCut Pro sends the license key and a random installation identifier to Big Brain Tech's license service over HTTPS. The service stores a cryptographic hash of the license key, Stripe Checkout and payment references, the license status, and activation records. The plaintext license key is not stored in the license database. This information is used only to issue, activate, validate, limit, support, or deactivate the permanent license.

Purchases are completed using Stripe Managed Payments and are displayed as Sold through Link. The extension and Big Brain Tech's license service do not collect or receive credit-card numbers. Stripe and Link process purchaser, payment, tax, and transaction information under the Link Privacy Center and applicable Link terms.

Data sharing

The developer does not sell personal data or recorded content. License and purchase references are exchanged with Stripe and the Big Brain Tech license service only as necessary to confirm payment and provide paid access. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect users and the service from fraud or abuse.

Retention and deletion

Local extension data remains in Chrome's extension storage until it is cleared by the user or the extension is removed. License-service records are retained while needed to provide the lifetime license, enforce activation limits, handle refunds or disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Purchase information retained by Stripe or Link is governed by their policies and legal obligations. Users may contact the developer for help with a license or data request.

Security

License communications use HTTPS. FrameCut Pro does not execute remotely hosted code and does not transmit recorded video or audio to the developer.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

FrameCut Pro's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the user-facing recording, download, settings, trial, and license features described above.

Children

FrameCut Pro is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the extension's features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
